Last Friday, Allied’s Chairman & CEO Marty O’Brien served as the Honorary Chair at Providence Connection’s 12th Annual Backyard Barbeque charity event. The event is one of the most anticipated nights of the year for Pittsburgh’s Northside community hub, and is attended by over two hundred people from greater Pennsylvania; including philanthropists, press, elected officials, family support services advocates and stakeholders. Providence Connections’ annual Backyard Barbeque aims to raise more than $100,000 for the families they serve who are living in crisis.
“Each year, Providence Connections aims to identify an individual or corporation for their ongoing commitment to ensuring that Providence Connections can continue to strengthen families and enrich lives; and this year we couldn’t be more excited to partner with Marty and Allied. Marty and his organization have been big supporters and thought leaders to Providence Connections over the years.” said by Samantha Ellwood, Executive Director of Providence Connections.
Many Allied employees, partners, and friends were in attendance as well. As a valued partner of Providence Connections, Allied is committed to their mission and is proud to support an organization that has such a direct and lasting impact on local children and families.
